Trees in Winter

Trees are the lonely guardsmen of our nature. Lonely sometimes in the sense that there aren't enough of them ... lonely in the sense that their duty is to stand strong and tall until they fall. They are constantly working to give us cleaner air to breathe, yet we only thank them by cutting them down for our own luxuries and frivolities. These are photos of real trees, and tree parts that all know what it feels like to stand, alone, on a cold dark winter night.
