With the final colours of fall having faded, much like the late afternoon light, I found myself shooting fewer and fewer shots. November is always a tough month for photos. Nevertheless, I still managed to find a few things that caught my eye.
Borrowed Ritmo
November 30, 2005
Though I don't actually own this old Spanish Ritmo (Rhythm) guitar, I'm pretty much the only person who has played in the past few years.
Dirty Windshield Blues
November 26, 2005
It's getting to be that time of year, at least in the northern latitudes, where dirty windshields are a fact of life.
Handmade Thanksgiving Stuffing
November 24, 2005
Off-the-shelf stuffing just won't cut it for some people ... these hands are getting down and dirty with what turned out to be some very tasty stuffing.
Olin Terrace Monument
November 23, 2005
Though it looks like the kind of monument you'd see in a cemetery, this snow covered sign is actually near the entrance to the Olin Terrace, near the more prominent Monona Terrace, in Madison.
Blue Water Rocks
November 22, 2005
There's nothing quite like the colour of blue water on a blue sky day -- I'm always a sucker for it.
Thin Ice
November 19, 2005
After a few cold nights, a thin layer of ice has formed near the shore. Might be good for cooling down a drink, but it wouldn't be good for much else.
First Snow - Evening Commute
November 16, 2005
The first snow of the 2005-2006 winter has finally fallen here in Madison. Looks like I'm not the only fool still riding my bike.
Ping Pong Ball and Paddle
November 16, 2005
A rare quiet moment for the PP ball and paddle - it won't be long before the ball is being smacked around the office again.
Afternoon Ping Pong
November 09, 2005
Excitement is slowly building at work as the first round of the International Ping Pong Championship continues. Unbelievably there is only one visible bottle of beer in this photo.
Tranquil Lake Monona
November 08, 2005
Looking calm and peaceful, Lake Monona lays still. Immediately behind me, hundreds of cars work their way up John Nolen Drive on the way to work.
No Bikes
November 06, 2005
I've never been a fan of signs that say 'No Bikes' -- having said that, I'm not the person responsible for knocking down the sign, I just documented it, that's all.
Fallen Leaves on the Ground
November 06, 2005
I'm confused -- why are there so many fallen leaves on the ground ... yet the bushes right beside the trail are still full of green leaves? I don't get it.
Peeking at Fall
November 06, 2005
The other fall colours ... forget the brilliant reds, yellows and oranges ... it's now time for all of the shades of brown to come out and play.
