Sports and animals and flowers and people outdoors -- spring has unquestionably arrived. A new lens along with the beauty of spring has helped inspire me to shoot more than I have for several months.
Feet on the Pavement
April 29, 2006
Runners from all over Wisconsin came out to Madison to take part in the 25th annual Crazylegs Classic. These legs don't look so crazy to me.

Standing at Attention
April 26, 2006

Go Badgers!

These mini green maple leaves don't lie ... spring is definitely springing.

Polar Bear Profile
April 08, 2006
Though I'm amazed at the size and beauty of a polar bear, seeing one in a zoo leaves me with mixed feelings at best. At least it was still cold enough for this big fella's breath to register in the air.
Wilting Sunflowers
April 07, 2006
Well past their 'best before' date, these stubborn sunflowers refuse to fall over. Even with their wilting, they still stand much taller than your average Joe.
Madison's Isthmus
April 05, 2006
A narrow band of late afternoon light shines onto the isthmus, illuminating the northern edge of the UW Campus, parts of downtown and of course the capitol dome.
Willy Street Signs
April 05, 2006
Willy (Williamson) Street sure has a lot of signs, poles and wires. Is that why it is so popular? Doesn't really seem to fit with the loose, free and liberal aura that the area has.
Swaying Daffodils
April 04, 2006
Spring's first big, bright flowers are here - an early morning breeze blows these swaying daffodils around.
